week 7 3/20

Today March 20th we have started on building the claw for the tetrahedron challenge. We would of liked to go with a 25 c-channel but because we are behind we had to use a 20. We have to get the solid works part of our robot in the break.

week 7 3/18

today March 18, the beginning of the week we finally finished the coding for the figure 8 challenge. we had to restart a couple of times but after finally deciding to lower the speed of the bot for the sake of our grade we got it done. we have written this code about 4 times.

week 6 3/14

Today March 14 we have almost finished the coding for the robots second lap around the figure 8. We built the claw again as we found a more effective way.

week 6 3/11

Today Monday march 6, we almost finished the figure 8 coding. We have figured out how to do one lap but the second one is still in the making. We also began to assemble the claw as much as we possibly could before putting it on the robot.

week 5 3/8

This end of the week we really needed to get the figure eight done so we spent all of class and some of study hall strictly programing. We finally completed it though and received a late grade but at least we finished.

week 5 3/4

Monday, March 3, we worked on programming the robot to run automatically. we are almost done with the figure eight we just need to make a few adjustments to the bots code. the bot is running well and we are caught up with our blogger. we received our grade from Mr. Martin and know we are missing Solidworks. Our goals for this week are to finish solid works and the robot programming.

Our end of of the week and beginning of the month was rather tragic. As you can see in one of the pictures our bearing flats were placed on the wrong side making the motors way to loose and causing a lot of shaking from the axles. After realizing this error we had to take apart most of the frame and put it back together. Fortunately Angel had a lot of free time and dedicated himself to rearranging the bot the whole day. The robot is running excellent now and is even running on autonomous. hopefully we can get the claw on it soon and start running some challenges.
